Devon & Jeff Wedding
Posted by pwp on June 27, 2009
I was quite (very) excited for this 1st wedding of 2009. We had another great year last year and I could not wait to photograph this one. The location in the heart of Ann Arbor was so exquisite. Surrounded by beautiful trees, the Ann Arbor City Club is really one of a kind. It reminded me of a doll house in real life size! Devon and Jeff came all the way from South Carolina to get married in lovely Ann Arbor. The whole day I was also waiting for the African drums performance at the end of the night! What a way to end a perfect day!
Some showers were expected in the afternoon so the ceremony was initially moved back inside. But somehow the weather seemed to get better and I am so glad that Devon and Jeff chose to move it back (again) outside! And it did not rain!
Take a look at this amazing dress and the details!
There are no words to describe this magnificent hand-made Ketubah, so here is a shot of it:
Gorgeous place!
Look at how happy they are! The fear of rain is long forgotten…
Just married!
Time to celebrate!
With a fantastic DJ from Mike’s Staff Productions. Great job Steve! I Love your mic too!
And finally here is a really cool way to end a wedding day. African drums (by Ibrahim Aminou from West Africa) have so much energy and life in them and the sparklers made for an unforgettable night!

Devon & Jeff your wedding was a wonderful experience from watching you both walk down the aisle in such a magnificent setting and perfect weather to a coolreception and dinner. I regret having to leave before the cake cutting and the African drum experience but it was too difficult for me pain-wise which I know you understand.
Devon, your wedding gown was breath taking and both you and Jeff were truly floating and radiant.
I’m looking froward to your recently posted pictures.
Hugs,
Marilyn
