Abby & Dan Wedding

Posted by pwp on October 5, 2008

As you may remember from their E-session back in May, Abby and Dan are just so much fun to photograph. So I was very excited for their wedding which was held in one of the most elegant buildings on the University of Michigan campus: the Michigan League. Christine and I actually used to go there quite often for some Ballroom dancing (I’ll blog about this later…). So I was quite familiar with the place and it was no surprise to see how wonderful the ceremony was.

We started with a few shots at one of Abby’s friend’s house.

I just love this first shot! The feeling of capturing an instant in time… It would look great in black and white too, but I just love the green color on that shot…

It’s pretty cool to have those red apples in the background… as you will see later…

Abby just looked amazing with her Grand-Ma veil…

I was glad not to shoot in a church for a change. Those tall windows were great to create a really cool atmosphere in the room, and with the band, this was just a unique experience.

I just could not resist but add one more shot of Abby’s veil… I also love that shot of the kids next to the fountain…

After the family portraits, we just had a few minutes to take advantage of the sunshine back lighting the fountain. But it was SO worth it!!!

Aren’t those two so cute! 🙂

Then we went back inside for a few more shots. Check out Abby’s orange shoes! They were just so cool!

I LOVE the feeling on that shot…

Simply gorgeous!

Here are some apples again! And those berries on the cake add such a nice touch!
Each table had a a couple pictures of Abby and Dan when they were kids, which was really fun to discover!
The reception was held at the slick Sheraton hotel.
